I’m BarefeetM—a bold, body-positive artist born with a heart that almost didn’t make it. Literally.

I was born at home in San Jose, California, and at just 6 days old, I underwent open heart surgery for a rare condition called transposition of the great vessels. My heart was beating, I was breathing—but my blood wasn’t getting oxygen. I shouldn’t have survived. But I did.

And that survival became the heartbeat of everything I create.

Growing up, I developed early and wore a chest scar that sparked a lot of questions. It shaped how I saw myself—and eventually, how I chose to celebrate myself. My art is a love letter to the beauty of difference, to the truth of our bodies, and to the messy, powerful magic of just being here.

BarefeetM was born from an opportunity gifted by an investor, but it’s more than a business—it’s an expression of survival, self-love, and bold, unapologetic creativity. Every design I make—whether it's a painting, a mug, or a DIY kit—is made to remind you that your body is worthy, your story is powerful, and your beauty is not up for debate.

This work is for the people—especially women—who are done comparing themselves to impossible standards. Who are ready to embrace softness as strength. Who want to reconnect with themselves, or maybe with their partner, through a playful DIY night (yes, wine is encouraged).
